Friar Industries Robotics Team Receives Inspire Award

The St. Anthony’s robotics team has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the prestigious Inspire Award at the FIRST Tech Challenge on Long Island this weekend. This is the highest honor awarded in the competition and a testament to our team’s hard work, dedication, and innovation.

The Inspire Award is not just about technical excellence but also about embodying the values of Gracious Professionalism® both on and off the field. It celebrates teams that inspire others through their passion, knowledge, and commitment to community engagement. Our students demonstrated unparalleled teamwork, shared their expertise with others, and made a lasting impression on the judges, sponsors, and fellow competitors.

In addition to this outstanding achievement, our robot performed exceptionally well in the competition. The team advanced to the finals of the robot challenge, showcasing the strength of their design, engineering, and strategy in head-to-head matches. This dual accomplishment highlights our technical skills and ability to collaborate and persevere under pressure.

This victory has qualified the team for the Regional Championship event in March! As part of their preparation, the team has kept a comprehensive engineering portfolio, highlighting the many initiatives and achievements that contributed to earning the Inspire Award.

The team  also set up a large monitor at the event to showcase their new Roblox game. It features a replica of the Innovation Center with the robot field setup.
